All BellTruTone's pickups are rigorously wound by hand, reproducingthe 50s and 60s construction techniques, to have a dynamic tone, a clear butnever annoying sound, a note definition for a real vintage sound. All pickupsare matched in pairs for the proper tonal balance. We build pickups with wire,alnico, flatwork, and selected coils, following accurate specifications. Wealso have a limited production, using original coils wire from 50s and 60s withlimited availability. The pickups are waxed with a old and custom procedure to notlose the tone. Some Telecastermodels are not waxed like the Pafs, to preserve the characteristics of theoriginal productions for tone and harmonics. Almost all the production has anaged/relic aesthetic (except for the standard production) which is what weprefer but upon request it is possible to have the pickups without the agingprocess.

Our philosophy is to create not a copy or a replica but anauthentic pickup, in sound and in aesthetics, going back in time and trying notto do better than those who invented a sound at the base of what was thehistory of the electric guitar from the 1950s to 1960. In the same way, weproduce a limited series of instruments from the Golden Age of the electricguitar by selecting woods and varnishes, all in compliance with theconstruction and manual procedures of the time.
